Ougintei

A quaint old folk house built in a historic area of Kamakura that accepts applications, consultations, and preparations for Shinto wedding ceremonies.
Ougintei accepts applications and provides consultation and preparation for wedding ceremonies at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu.
The building was named after the area to the west of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, on which Ougintei stands, which was formerly called Uguisugayatsu (meaning, "the valley of Uguisu" in Japanese).
This area was also the site of the residence of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu's chief priest, Otomo, until the Edo period. We will be there to guide you through the ceremony and help you prepare for the day, in a quaint old folk house in Kamakura.
